Bagshot FC Puts Faith In Brett Wickens To Lead The Club’s Rebuild & Promotion Push For 2026/27.

Bagshot FC are delighted to confirm that Brett Wickens will continue as First Team Manager for the 2026/27 season, as the club looks ahead to a new era both on and off the pitch.

Following what was undoubtedly one of the most difficult periods in our history, the club's efforts in the Surrey Premier County League proved a low point for everyone connected with Bagshot FC. However, despite the challenges faced throughout the campaign, Brett remained committed and determined to keep the club moving forward during an incredibly testing season.

The newly formed board and incoming club structure have unanimously agreed that Brett deserves the opportunity to continue the work he has started and be rewarded for the time, effort and loyalty he has shown throughout a difficult transition period for the club.

With renewed backing behind the scenes and an imminent restructuring of the football club, there is now a clear vision for the future at Bagshot FC. The board are fully committed to supporting Brett and his management team, as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.

Importantly, Brett will now have the resources and backing required to strengthen the squad over the summer, with plans already underway to recruit players capable of challenging at the top end of the division and pushing for promotion next season.

Everyone at the club recognises the enormity and importance of the task ahead, but there is a shared belief that the foundations are now being put in place to restore pride, stability and ambition back to Bagshot FC.

Preparations for the 2026/27 season are now underway, and the club looks forward to updating supporters with further developments both on and off the pitch in the coming weeks.
