Bagshot FC appoints Stuart Morgan as our new Chairman

Bagshot FC can announce the appointment of Stuart Morgan as the club’s new Chairman, marking the start of an ambitious new chapter for the historic Surrey side.
Morgan is recognised throughout non-league football as the founder of Dial Square FC, a club he established from scratch and helped develop into one of the most talked-about community-focused projects in grassroots football.

After 3 years away from the game, his arrival at Bagshot FC brings a wealth of experience in club development, supporter engagement and long-term strategic planning at a time when those qualities have never been more important for this football club.
After creating Dial Square FC, he built a passionate and loyal supporter base, transforming the club from a new footballing venture into a recognised name with followers extending well beyond its immediate local area. In fact, the project was actually followed worldwide.

Through a combination of community engagement, clear leadership and an understanding of what supporters want from their football club, Dial Square quickly established a reputation that many clubs spend decades trying to achieve. That success has not gone unnoticed.

Bagshot FC’s decision to appoint Morgan reflects a desire to harness that experience and apply it to a club with a proud history. While Bagshot has long been a respected name within local football, the modern non-league landscape continues to present extremely difficult challenges that require innovation, strong leadership and a clear vision for the future.
Morgan’s track record suggests he is well equipped to provide exactly that. He will however, need the support of like-minded individuals.
At Dial Square, he demonstrated an ability to unite supporters, volunteers, players and sponsors behind a common purpose.

The club’s growth was driven not only by performances on the pitch but by the sense of identity and connection that developed around it. He understood the critical importance of creating an atmosphere and culture that helped the club stand out in an increasingly competitive football environment.
Those achievements are expected to play a significant role in shaping Bagshot FC’s future direction and this appointment comes at an important moment for the club.
Across the non-league game, clubs are increasingly judged not only on results but on their ability to engage communities, attract commercial partners and create sustainable structures that can support growth over the long term. Success in those areas often determines whether clubs can fulfil their potential both on and off the field.

Bagshot FC clearly believes Morgan possesses the experience and vision needed to help guide the club through that process.
Supporters should be encouraged by the fact that Morgan’s football journey has been defined by action rather than promises. The rise of Dial Square FC demonstrated what can be achieved when ambition is combined with planning, communication and a commitment to building something that people genuinely want to be part of.

During his 3-year involvement, he oversaw back to back promotions; since his departure from the club in May 2023 due to recovery from a work accident, Dial Square have continued their on-field success and built even stronger foundations off the pitch. Last season, they achieved yet another promotion, to secure Step 6 football within the 5-year timeframe initially set out by Morgan.
For Bagshot FC, the opportunity to benefit from that experience could be a significant one.
While no single appointment can transform a football club overnight, or indeed ever, there is a growing sense of optimism surrounding the direction in which Bagshot is heading.

Morgan’s understanding of supporter culture and community engagement is particularly relevant at a time when clubs are increasingly reliant on strong relationships with those who follow and support them week after week.
The challenge ahead remains substantial. Non-league football is more competitive than ever, with clubs continually searching for new ways to grow, improve facilities, attract investment and strengthen their position. Progress requires extreme patience, commitment and leadership capable of bringing people together behind a shared vision. Morgan has already shown an ability to do exactly that.

His appointment signals a willingness to embrace fresh ideas while respecting the traditions and values that have defined Bagshot FC throughout its history. It is a combination that many supporters will hope can provide the platform for sustained progress in the years ahead.
As preparations begin for the next stage of the club’s development, there is a renewed sense of anticipation around Bagshot FC. The club remains proud of most of its past, but the focus is increasingly turning towards what can be achieved in the future.

With Stuart Morgan now leading the club as Chairman, Bagshot FC has placed its faith in an individual whose footballing reputation has been built on creating momentum, building communities and turning ambition into reality. For supporters, players and volunteers alike, the appointment offers the prospect of a fresh start and an exciting new direction.

A statement from our new Chairman will be released shortly.
