Bagshot Football Club is delighted to confirm that it has been granted a reprieve from relegation and will retain its place in the 'Surrey Premier County League' for the forthcoming season.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to the league committee for its consideration and support during what has been a challenging period.
Last season proved disappointing in many respects. A combination of circumstances both on and off the pitch created significant difficulties for the club, culminating in the inability to fulfil several league fixtures. This was deeply frustrating for everyone associated with Bagshot FC and fell well below the standards that the club expects of itself.
However, over recent months, extensive work has taken place behind the scenes to rebuild and strengthen the club's foundations. A significant structural change is being implemented, bringing in a new leadership, improved operational processes and a renewed commitment to ensuring the long-term stability and sustainability of the club.
These changes have provided the league with the confidence that Bagshot FC now operates under a substantially different structure from that which encountered difficulties last season. The club has demonstrated that robust plans are in place to ensure all league commitments are met moving forward.
Everyone at Bagshot FC is determined to repay the faith shown by the SPCL. The focus is now firmly on the future, with preparations for the new campaign already underway.
The club looks forward to representing the local community with pride and competing positively both on and off the pitch in the season ahead.
